Biodiversity Debate

CA$5.00

Guided activity to inject nature into your curriculum - an exciting topic investigation that trick your students into learning through fun!

Simple to facilitate pdf instructions for a single activity to enhance your Ontario Curriculum. Includes instructions, additional details (what to expect) for the teacher, handouts and digital resources.

Biodiversity changes from place to place. This experience gets your learnings critically thinking about how biodiverse an ecosystem is based on images and challenges them to rank those images from least to most diverse. Further investigations are required to confirm if their assumptions and ranking is correct; so, in the meantime, learners are encouraged to use debate to convince the instructor that their order is correct.

Grade/Age

This experience can be adapted for grades 6 to 12. Specifically, the biodiversity debate experience connects to the Ontario Science Curriculum for grades 6 and 9.

Enhancement activities are meant to supplement classroom teachings by providing experiential learning opportunities and unique ideas to help learners retain information.

  • Each enhancement activity includes simple to facilitate pdf instructions and all required handouts

  • Assessments, tests, and rubrics not included
