Cancellation and Refund Policy

In-Person Cancellation and Refund Terms

Individuals that have scheduled one of our existing in-person activities can cancel for any reason and receive a full refund if the activity is cancelled 48 hours before the scheduled day. A partial refund of 50% of the original cost can be obtained up until 24 hours before the scheduled activity.

For special events and custom activities, experiences, or workshops, individuals / groups can cancel for any reason and receive a full refund if the activity is cancelled 14 days before the scheduled activity. A partial refund of 75% of the original cost can be obtained if cancelled more than 7 days ahead and a 50% refund if cancelled with less than 7 days notice before the scheduled activity.

If your visit must be cancelled by blue marble learning scene for any reason (e.g. weather) you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible when cancelling. Please be aware that weather disruptions may only be discovered the day of the visit.

Individuals can reschedule one of our existing in-person activities at any time up to 48 hours before the scheduled activity. While, rescheduling a custom activity, experience, or workshop must be done at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date.

Once an activity is rescheduled the refund policy above does not apply and cancellation will result in being charged in full. Rescheduling can occur a maximum of two times. The activity must be scheduled and facilitated within 6 months of the originally scheduled time. If an acceptable alternative date cannot be found within the following 6 month period individuals will be given the opportunity to pay in full and receive an in-person activity voucher that can be used at any future date.

At any point in time, if a blue marble learning scene representative determines an unsafe work environment exists at the location booked for an in-person activity, they have the right to refuse work. If this occurs, blue marble learning scene will cancel or reschedule the activity. Refunds will not be available for activities that are cancelled due to unsafe work conditions. For a guest to reschedule an activity, actions taken to remedy the unsafe work environment needs to be communicated with blue marble learning scene in writing. If the work environment remains unsafe, blue marble learning scene will not reschedule a second time.

Weather Considerations

blue marble learning scene in-person activities proceed rain or shine. Cancellations will only be made for severe weather events or if school buses are cancelled. Example weather conditions that could result in blue marble cancelling an activity include but are not limited to: thunderstorms, flooding, very poor air quality. All cancellations due to weather are at the discretion of blue marble learning scene. Both outdoor and indoor activities will be cancelled for weather events that impact travel such as blizzards. blue marble learning scene will cancel all activities if school buses are cancelled in order to ensure safety of all parties.

If your visit is cancelled by blue marble learning scenefor weather, you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible when cancelling. Please be aware that weather disruptions may only be discovered the day of the visit.

In-person Experience Disruptions and Delays

If an in-person activity is interrupted by a situation outside of the control of the guest (e.g. an unscheduled fire alarm or weather event), blue marble learning scene will extend the scheduled time to allow for completion of the activity if both parties (blue marble learning scene and the guest) have no other conflicting commitments. If extending the scheduled time is not possible and the guest would like to reschedule, blue marble learning scene will make all attempts to reschedule the same activity on a future date, no later than 2 months after the original scheduled activity date. Rescheduling will be at no extra cost to the guest and will be to redo the entire activity or for a shortened time slot to complete the activity where it was left off.

If an in-person activity is delayed due to late arrival time by the participating group, we will work to complete the activity in the time remaining from the 1 hour time slot booked. This may result in some aspects of the activity needing to be eliminated. As a result, please note that activities booked for a certain time will begin promptly at that time (with a 5 min grace window). For delays in the activity start time that are out of your control, blue marble learning scene will extend the 1 hour time slot to ensure all activity components are completed, if possible.

Your Responsibilities when Hosting blue marble

When hosting blue marble learning scene for an in-person activity, you are responsible for:

  • ensuring a safe work environment

  • arriving on time (see above for policy related to activity delays)

  • minimizing disruptions of learners

  • remaining present during the entire activity

  • providing payment via cash, e-transfer, card, or cheque prior to or on the day of the activity

Conditions for Product Returns / Refunds

Individuals that have purchased a physical product from blue marble learning scene can make a return within 10 days of purchase. Items returned must be in the original and re-sellable condition.
