Cancellation and Refund Policy

In-Person Cancellation and Refund Terms

Guests that have scheduled experiences, workshops, or other activities with blue marble learning scene can cancel for any reason and receive a full refund if the experience is cancelled 48 hours before the scheduled activity. A partial refund of 50% of the original cost can be obtained up until 24 hours before the scheduled activity.

If your visit must be cancelled by blue marble learning scene for any reason (e.g. weather) you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible when cancelling. Please be aware that weather disruptions may only be discovered the day of the visit.

Guests can reschedule experiences, workshops, and other activities at any time up to 48 hours before the scheduled activity. Once an experience is rescheduled the refund policy above does not apply and cancellation will result in being charged full price. Rescheduling can occur a maximum of two times. Instead of rescheduling, guests can receive a credit for use on a future, to be determined, date if payment has already been made in full.

At any point in time, if a blue marble learning scene representative determines an unsafe work environment exists at an in-person experience hosted by a guest, they have the right to refuse work. If this occurs, blue marble learning scene will cancel or reschedule the experience. Refunds will not be available for experiences that are cancelled due to unsafe work conditions. For a guest to reschedule an experience, actions taken to remedy the unsafe work environment needs to be communicated with blue marble learning scene in writing. If the work environment remains unsafe, blue marble learning scene will not reschedule a second time.

Weather Considerations

blue marble learning scene in-person activities (e.g. yard field trips, in door visits, etc.) proceed rain or shine. Cancellations will only be made for severe weather events or if school buses are cancelled. For example, outdoor activities may be cancelled for thunderstorms or flooding, and both outdoor and indoor activities will be cancelled for weather events that impact travel. blue marble learning scene will cancel all activities if school buses are cancelled in order to ensure safety of all parties.

If your visit is cancelled by blue marble learning scene for weather, you will receive a full refund or have the option to reschedule. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible when cancelling. Please be aware that weather disruptions may only be discovered the day of the visit.

Pandemic Considerations

If an experience, workshop, or other activity is cancelled as a result of stay at home orders / lock downs, put in place by the Ontario Government, or if there are positive COVID cases in your class, you will have the option to 1. reschedule the experience for another time or 2. cancel the experience and receive a full refund.

If any learners or individuals test positive for COVID-19 within 5 days of the scheduled activity, blue marble learning scene reserves the right to cancel and reschedule. It is your responsibility to inform blue marble if any learners or individuals test positive for COVID-19 before or after the schedule activity.

In-person Experience Disruptions

If an in-person experience is interrupted by a situation outside of the control of the guest (e.g. an unscheduled fire alarm or weather event), blue marble learning scene will extend the scheduled time to allow for completion of the experience if both parties (blue marble learning scene and the guest) have no other conflicting commitments. If extending the scheduled time is not possible and the guest would like to reschedule, blue marble learning scene will make all attempts to reschedule the same experience on a future date, no later than 2 months after the original scheduled experience date. Rescheduling will be at no extra cost to the guest and will be to redo the entire experience or for a shortened time slot to complete the experience where it was left off.

Guest Responsibilities when Hosting

As a guest hosting blue marble learning scene for an in-person experience, you are responsible for ensuring a safe work environment. blue marble learning scene also requests that host guests work to minimize disruptions during the experience and remain present during the entire experience.

Conditions for Product Returns / Refunds

Guests that have purchased a physical product from blue marble learning scene can make a return within 10 days of purchase. Items returned must be in the original and re-sellable condition.

Individuals who have made a ‘Build Your Own Activity’ purchase, have 8 days from the date they submit their form to cancel and receive a full refund. This provides you the opportunity to evaluate the activity outline prior to receiving a refund.
